NARRATIVE AND LAW OF EXODUS Exodus 20;1-17
The book of Exodus tells how for four hundred and thirty years the children of God's people who became slaves in Egypt , under the Pharaoh Empire regime, now were being rescued and would be taken into the Land that was promised to them by God , now as we will see this was
not an easy task due to the hardness and wickedness of Pharaoh heart and also his unwillingness to let go God's people be free , so that they would go and serve God in their Land of of promise The land of Milk and honey.
Through the strength of the almighty hand of God the people were made free and journey through the
wilderness to Mount Sinai, where God promises them the land of Cannon (the "Promised Land) in return for their faithfulness. Israel enters into a covenant with
God who gives them their laws and instructions for the Tabernacle, the means by which he will dwell with them and lead them to the land, and give them peace. Thus we have the great Exodus of the Old testament from the land of slavery in Egypt to the
Land of Milk and Honey the Cannon Land. The Law was given to Moses after he defeated Pharaoh at the red sea and led Israel out of bondage most of the detailed is written in the book Exodus.
The Law was given to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai on the mountain, and the people in their disobedience cause Israel to , wonder around the desert and was in the wilderness for forty.
Joshua 5:6 The Israelites had moved about in the wilderness forty years until all the men who were of military age when they left Egypt had died, since they had not obeyed the LORD. For the LORD had sworn to them that they would not see the land he had solemnly promised their ancestors to give us, a land flowing with milk and honey. Moses died and never set foot into the promise , Joshua then had the task of leading Israel into the Promise Land.

Jesus gave us a vital piece of inside information as we try to exploit the riches of God's Word, that information is that He is the one unifying theme that runs through each testament, every book, every chapter, and every verse of the Book. According to Luke 24:27 44_47 Christ is found in "all the Scriptures." It is same Christ in ALL the Scriptures of the Bible.
The presence of the Lord in Exodus
The Burning Bush exodus 3: 1-22 The Lord spake to Moses out of the Bush: And the Angel of the lord appear unto Moses in a flame of fire out of the bush and said:
The Burning Bush Exodus 4:1-6
Then Moses answered and said, “But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, ‘The Lord has not appeared to you.’” So the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?”He said, “A rod.” And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. 4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail” (and he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand), 5 “that they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”
The Cloud that follow the people
cloud would stand above the Tabernacle when the people rest So it was continuously; the cloud would cover it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
Whenever the cloud was lifted from over the tent, afterward the sons of
Israel would then set out; and in the place where the cloud settled down, there the sons of Israel would camp. At the command of the LORD the sons of Israel would set out, and at the command of the LORD they would camp; as long as the cloud settled over the tabernacle, they remained camped.
A Theophany is a manifestation of God in the Bible that is tangible to the human senses. The laws are part of the narrative of God’s graciously establishing apersonal relationship with Israel as distinct from other nations. From aformal point of view, the laws (Exodus 20:1–17; 20:22–23:33) are part of, , the narrative of God’s establishment of the covenant withIsrael at Sinai (Exodus 19; 20:18–21; 24).
